International Volunteer Day

International Volunteer Day is celebrated on 5 December. It  is celebrated around the world as a day to recognise the contribution of volunteers in their communities.
SPW also celebrated IVD with his volunteers.

Creating Volo story
The day started with the introduction, after which followed photo workshop. During the workshop we, volunteers’, learned how we could make beautiful photos. We learned about several points which were important, when you were making a photo, such as color and tone, light, which was the most important thing, we learned about open and close compositions. That was really instructive.

So, when we learned the basic aspects of how to make a beautiful photo, we divided into 3 groups and went outside to implement our ideas.

We needed to creat our own Volo story about our Voluntary service. The general context was “ I as a volunteer” and within that  frame, we had a wide range of possibilities, depending on what was important for us.

The topics we decided where the following:

Share an “apple” - which means time to give your love, attention, care
Lonely volunteer
What to do when you are afraid?

The task was very interesting and when we finished with Volo story and looked at the work done, we felt satisfaction.
So that was the first part.

Open afternoon

During the second part we had an open afternoon, for everyone who wanted to come, get know the organization, ask about EVS or workcamps.

Besides one of our polish volunteers did a presentation about “ Youth in EU and China: Working Together to Common Challenges “
So, on that note ended our day – International Volunteer Day !
