On 23rd March
MOPS (social care centre) organised an Easter Meeting for their Klub Srebrnego Wieku.
Many peolpe were gathered in one big room, which was decorated with Easter
decorations, to celebrate Wielkanoc. Our organizations SPW and FIYE were also
invited. So EVS volunteers Lusine, Gayane, Zoe and Claudia, the coordinator
Sylwia and the head of our organisation Pani Ania went to that occasion. As we
knew that we would see how Polish people celebrated Wielkanoc, we decided to
show them how Wielkanoc is celebrated in Armenia and Colombia by making short
presentation and offering typical Armenian and Colombian sweets.
Our
presentation was shown to the seniors belonging to Klub Srebrnego Wiekua and
the mayor of Pultusk who was there for giving Easter wishes.
After the
presentation we had Polish Wiekanoc with Polish food and sweets. We even got
small presents - decorated baskets for eggs.
